About Ambient Images
Ambient Images originally formed as New York Stock Photo to provide one stop shopping for all your New York City photo needs. Our philosophy was simple and two fold. We wanted to offer a wide and diverse selection of images of all of New York's well known landmarks, combined with coverage of subjects that may be harder to find. We opened our doors in the Spring of 1999 with our first CD Catalog, and our Website was uploaded in December of 1999.
Not content with just one coastal state, we set our eyes across the country and decided that the same approach would work well for California. We mailed our California Stock Photo CD in 2001 and our second website opened soon after. In the Fall of 2001 we re-formed as Ambient Images. As well as Stock Photography, we also sell prints of many of our photographs. Go to our Home page for more information: www.AmbientImages.com. Our New York Stock Photo and California Stock Photo websites will remain the same and separate.
