Sixth graders from MS 296 celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day at Umoja Community Garden in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn on Thursday, April 22, 2010. The students participated in a game of eco tag to learn about ecosystems. They also planted flowers and tomato plants as part of the City Parks Foundation's Learning Gardens program. (© Frances M.
